You can learn …
You can learn …
We can learn so many things from our dog’s behavior, personality, attitude, resilience, and most importantly, the willingness to provide their family members with unconditional love, loyalty, and companionship.
You get home from work…the dog doesn’t judge you…doesn’t care what you look like or if you’ve had a shitty day. No matter the situation, your dog is always happy to see you. You are greeted with the same enthusiasm each and every time you walk in that door.
Im not out to offend anyone here but I believe that dogs are much nicer than humans in many ways…especially when it comes to the purity of their feelings. Dogs are better than most of us in using wisdom as the unique gift to learn from mistakes and applying coherent actions to solve a problem. Well, a smart dog anyway!
A dog has the ability to live in the present moment. They don’t regret the past or worry about the future. If we can learn to appreciate and focus on what’s happening in the here and now, we have an opportunity to value and invest in all the good stuff – those little moments that we might otherwise miss; our partner coming home and needing a hug, our children vying for some attention, our own need for space or quiet.
We tend to forget who we really are, the purpose of our lives, our main virtues, and what are the most important things in life, the things that truly matter and bring satisfaction. We stop putting in the effort and often become complacent in our relationships and self-care, and we all know where this leads.
Wouldn’t it be nice to come home every night and greet your family with as much love and enthusiasm as your dog?
